Will the police investigation on Weiner lead to trial of him as a sex offender?
Police are investigating whether the New York congressman sent inappropriate messages to a 17-year-old, girl from New Castle, Del., Fox News reports.
The girl’s name is being withheld because she is a minor. During a tearful press conference on Monday, Weiner admitted to sexting with six women and sending graphic images to them over a period of several years.
The girl, a junior in high school, reportedly started following Rep. Weiner on Twitter after a school trip to Washington, D.C. The congressman began following her shortly thereafter and direct-messaged the girl.
