Recruiters and searching Facebook, Myspace and Twitter accounts?
Since I am looking for a job, I am constantly told by people about how recruiter search social networks looking for things to discount you as an applicant. I have everything on my FB to friends only and even somethings only as people specific. I’ve checked my account using my son’s “non friend” but mutual friend account to see what you can see on my account. I don’t even have my own picture on it.
But even with all that people are still telling me that I need to be squeaky clean on there, which is hard because I am also a comedian on the side.
Are there any ways or sites that will search out your public information like a recruiter would?
So how do you search a candidate’s info? I’ve try every combo of my info in search engines and don’t find much.
I use the site www.pipl.com – it’s one of those search engines that goes far and wide – designed specifically for searching for people. There’s quite a few of them out there – I just chose that one. Put yourself in and see what it finds.
