Basic twitter info needed?
I just joined twitter and I haven’t quite figured it out. How do you communicate with someone without replying to them. Like if you want to leave a comment or tell them something. The only way I’ve figured out is to reply to an update they have made. I’ve read the Twitter help page. I also don’t know when to use the “RT”. I hate feeling this inept! Please help me twitter experts!
To send a comment to everyone following you just type your message in the box at the top and click the input button.
If you want to sent a comment to just 1 of your followers use direct message. It’s a menu item on the right side of the page that opens a new window.
“RT” is used when you want to retweet. Retweeting means that you’ve gotten a message from someone you are following and you want to send that message to your followers and give credit to the person that sent you the message.
