What Shakespeare play starts with a wedding and ends with the death of a tyrant?
This is in reference to a twitter post about this past weekend 4/29-5/1. A man said that this was like a Shakespeare play, the beginning started with a wedding and the play ended with the death of a tyrant. The weekend started on Friday with the English Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and ended with the death of Osama Bin Laden on Sunday.
Geeb is not really right, because we don’t see the wedding in Hamlet, nor is Claudius a tyrant – he just murdered his brother to claim the throne for himself. I think the comment on twitter was more a reference to Shakespearean themes (there are lots of tyrants killed and lots of weddings in Shakespeare’s plays) rather than a specific play.
