BB users, is the BlackBerry still worth it even without the data plan?
Just wondering if you still like your BlackBerry even without the data service or access to the BB browser, twitter, facebook, etc. I just want to know what it’s like without data service because I’m planning on getting one. I know what it can do with data service and that the BB is awesome with it. But will it still be awesome even without data service?
I need clear answers from people who don’t use the data service a lot please. Thanks!! 
A phone is a phone without data services. You can talk and text.
If you have access to Wifi you can pretty much do everything with the phone you can do with cell tower data services. Just not any BLACKBERRY DATA SERVICES.
You can use the BB WAP/Hotspot browser on Wifi.
Facebook you can access via the web browser or if you can find an older FB app for BB you may be able use that via WiFi, but the newer FB apps will not work on just WiFi.
Twitter works on Wifi only, as it works just fine on my BB 8900 without a sim card in it, on Wifi only. So you will need to do some hunting to find Wifi only apps that will work on the internet if you are bound and determined not to have a data plan, and can get a carrier to allow you to use a smartphone without one (buying it full retail and use, will normally exempt you from needed a data plan), but with all things in life YMMV (your mileage may vary).
