Is the mainstream media turning Punk Rock now or something?
Britney Spears, Kesha, Lady Caca gaga gaghagfag / “Lady gag me”, Rihanna, and probably others have been wearing Punk Rock clothing, full on totally spiked leather jacket, and bullets accross their chests in their music videos and sometimes in real life. LOL I find it kind of funny and stupid. They are the most submissive losers on the face of the earth, bowing to their “fans” doing whatever they say yet they have Anarchy symbols on their drum sets (I saw one rapper have that on a live set on MTV this morning). They don’t even know what the Anarchy symbol means, and they look REEETARDEEDD with the spikes and bullets because then they go preaching in their songs and on Twitter about Peace and Love. Do they not know that bullets are things you put into guns to injure and kill people??? Jesus…
They ruin the true meaning of punk rock. But punk isn’t always about the fashion. You don’t always have to wear spiked bracelets, spikes on jackets, patches all over jackets to be punk. You can wear normal clothes and play in a punk band. Look at Greg Gaffin. He dresses normally and was and still is apart of one of the best punk bands; Bad Religion.
