Why isn’t ‘What’s Hot’ list having effect on app sales?
My app (iMommy) has been out for about a month, reviews are great, everyone who tries it loves it…we just made the ‘What’s Hot’ list in itunes under family and kids games. So WHY am I getting very few downloads??? We are averaging around 7 downloads a day. What is going on??? We have done all the social media (facebook page, website, twitter page, press releases, reviews etc) Everything I read says that sales pick up when you get featured, or have great ratings etc…we have it all BUT none of it is translating into downloads?? Anyone have anything new to tell me that I may not have tried? Or is it just a fluke if you get a successful app….quality, good ratings and being featured doesn’t actually mean anything?? So confused….
You think being featured = instant downloads no its just means more people will see the app you can only wait and hope for the best if you tried everything already
