Javascript does not work?
Hello everyone,
I have recently encountered an issue in all of my internet browsers (IE, Firefox and Chrome).
It seems to be an issue with javascript across all 3 browsers. I cannot login to Twitter Web, it just throws me a BLANK WHITE page unless I use a HTTPS connection.
Also, on my eBay page, I cannot open any dropdown boxes. The status bar just says “javascript;” and when I click on it, nothing happens.
I have tried reinstalling Java on my computer but it does not seem to solve this issue. Anyone can shed some light on this issue I am facing? Many thanks in advance!
JavaScript is not the culprit for the issues that you are encountering especially when you are trying to login to well known sites. The problem might be that you have accidentally disabled JavaScript in your browser. Also, Java is a completely different language, more complex and more difficult to learn than JavaScript.
If the site requires you to use a HTTPS connection, use it since its more secure and it is employed where sensible information is required like login screens or checkout forms.
I would Google on how to enable JavaScript on all three browsers if I were you since JavaScript is an important piece of technology used by many websites.
