Is HTML or WordPress better for a website?
I want to set up a business website where I:
1. Sell my own products (audio CDs and e-workbooks).
2. Sell my consulting services.
3. Affiliate-link to other sites (like Amazon).
I was thinking of doing the standard HTML site, but researching WordPress has me reconsidering. WordPress seems to have built-in advantages like Twitter feeds, automatic SEO, automatic pinging of directories etc.
My big concern is that I want to make sure I have an introductory paragraph about myself and my products, and I want to have pictures of the products featured on the front page, above the fold.
I can do that in HTML. Can that be done in WordPress?
Second big concern: I’ll want to be able to edit the site later (add new products, etc.). I can do minor editing in HTML, but I know nothing about WordPress (other than…it’s a pain to work with). I don’t want to become a programmer either. Are there people out there who can help with the setup and support?
Thanks!
Everything can be possible in wordpress.
You can even have your own membership site to market your products or simply use WordPress to promote it. It’s even a lot easier than using static HTML pages.
