How do I use my iPod Touch on a new computer without erasing all of the data on it?
My old computer doesn’t work anymore so I’m using my iPod on my new laptop but I can’t sync my iPod with my laptop because it will erase everything. How do I backup my files so that I can put it in my new computer? How do I make sure my iPod will not lose any data with the apps (bookmarks, high scores in games, email accounts, twitter, facebook, etc.)?
You have to be able to access the files on the old computer in order to back them up. Your other options are to manage the iPod manually and don’t sync, or transfer the content from the iPod to the iTunes library, which requires a third-party program. Use Yamipod for PC, Senuti for Mac. When you’re done, back them up.
