Safari YOUTUBE Crash?
Ok I opened youtube on my Safari app for macintosh like i do everyday. And it freezes and just stops loading then i get the pinwheel and am forced to force-quit it. But heres the thing it’s not just safari app or just youtube. It’s all internet apps and it typically webpages with high data flow. Like twitter facebook ect. I know this is a problem that a lot of people are having because there are tuts one how to fix the problem but none of them work in mac formatted safari. So please i need help. What do i do. I know its not a virus or anything like that but like i said i used YouTube everyday more then once and not it caused all these problems. Thanks, Jake aka Jeremy
The cause of your problem is simple: Your “cache”
and “temporary internet files” are full.
If you are experiencing either: A) slugglish loading
or buffering, B) that “spinning circle” looking like it
will keep on “spinning” forever, C) “choppy” videos
that start/stop/start/stop frequently, or D) vids that
sometimes come to a complete stop, maybe your
cache/memory is full and thus can’t take anymore.
Exit out of YouTube (but not your browser) and do
the steps which are below. Afterward, shutdown &
reboot. Not only will this “free up” your computer’s
memory, everything will be “fresh”, and load faster:
Apple Safari 3:
→ Edit → Preferences
→ Security (tab) → Show Cookies
→ Remove All → Done
after that:
→ Safari → Empty Cache → Empty
after that:
→ History → Clear History
DON’T FORGET TO SHUT DOWN AND REBOOT
AFTER DOING THE ABOVE.
If you have other applications which are running at
the same time (such as “Torrents”), they will slow
down YouTube as well. In those cases, you might
want to consider uninstalling any Torrents you got.
