Can you use a fake name on Twitter and put it on private.
Is it like an advanced form of blogging?
I would like to use it but only invite my friends.

You shouldn’t use Twitter if you want to write a lot. It’s only to share your thoughts, or let your friends know what you’re doing.
If you only want your friends to know your updates, there’s an option in the Settings page that lets only people you approve, to see your tweets.
