What is your opinion on African American Spiderman?
The article reads “Twitter Campaign Wants [Donald Glover] to Be First Non-White Spider-Man”
First of all, Twitter is stupid as hell.
and Peter Parker was clearly not black…
It’s like saying Jackie Chan is the next Superman and Carlos Mencia is Batman. (although it would be pretty funny)
This would completely kill the spiderman franchise. Yeah, Nick Fury is black now but he has been in the Marvel Ultimate’s universe since it started. No where in any form of the Marvel Universe has Peter Parker ever been black. He has always been a nerdy white kid. I’m not trying to sound racist here. Although I’m sure that’s what someone will think of my opinion when they read this. That is not the case. I just don’t like changing something just to see what would happen if we did this? The only good thing that could come from this decision is that it would sink the franchise and then maybe Sony would sell it back to Marvel Studios so they could do it the way it should be done.
