Is this a good ee cummings imitation?
I wanted to see if I can make a good poem using ee cumming’s style of writing. Its also based off a painting.
Inspiration: The Twittering Machine
here my creation: twittering
bird heads because
severed from body
shot in the heart
tether to
my creation: twittering machine
fog and a dark mist
around in this
A ribbon: hide
the
skunk-mud strings
and
maggot wires
some grease
here
and there
circle the handle
watch it spin
and twitter
and spin and
creak
and twitter
almost as beautiful
as they alive

It has a similar look visually to a Cummings poem, but I don’t think you’ve captured the odd insanity that tends to run through his work. Nice poem though.
