What size should a photo be in order to take up the entire background on Twitter?
I want the background to be one whole image and take up the whole space, instead of having to Tile it. What size should it be to make this possible?
There’s no easy answer as different sized screens will see different amounts of the image. The safest bet is to pick an image with less important information on the right. i.e. a beach scene is ideal, put the palm trees or the boat on the left which everyone sees and let the scene trail off to the right.
Alternatively, use a photo on the left and blend it into something else like I have on my profile http://twitter.com/ZakoMedia
The best dimensions to make sure everyone has a filled screen are somewhere around the 1890×1000 mark
