Working with the Twitter API?
How would I be able to get a persons user id from a persons username through PHP? Is this possible?
I’m trying to build a site where a user types in their username then uploads a song to play on their profile, so I need to create a mock-up of their twitter page from their username.
the api documentation exists for this very reason: http://apiwiki.twitter.com/Twitter-API-Documentation
The frotn page lists all the methods, if you look through the ones which sound similar to what you want you can see the inputs and outputs to find out whether it is even possible
If you mean you dont know how to use the twitter api in php, you basically call the url in the format specified by the api, you can do this through a function such as file_get_contents which can take in a url as a parameter and will return the file(or in this case the response from the api) as a string variable
