what exactly is the api limit on twitter?
so they say you can only update your status up to 150 times per hour, i was wondering if it deducts your api when people whom you’re following update their status and it shows up on your timeline?
Nope. They’re updating their status, not yours, there’s no reason why you should be limited because others talk too much.
Note also that the limit is not 150 status updates but 100 api calls per hour (that also includes getting the tweets list and stuff like that) and 1000 updates per day
