How come out of all the web-dross one guy gets the might of the law shoved down his throat?

‘Tweeters have joined forces to support Paul Chambers, the man convicted and fined for a Twitter message threatening to blow up an airport.

The Twitter community is angry that the 27-year-old accountant has failed to overturn his conviction.

A day after his appeal failed, two “hashtags” to highlight his situation remain top topics in the UK.’

He tweeted: “Crap! Robin Hood airport is closed. You’ve got a week to get your shit together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high!”

I hope the ‘I Spartacus’ protest really takes off.Even on his charge sheet it stated that the police considered it was meant jokingly.A caution would have been more than suffice.None of the tweeters posting the same tweet have been charged and they don’t plan to charge them.Tad selective with this law of theirs.
Apparently a worker at the airport came across the tweet and reported it to the Airport manager who in turn reported it to the police.
