Are Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez still Best Friends?

Selena has recently had to dedicate herself to her solo singing career. That very situation might’ve had an adverse effect on her relationship with Demi, in the sense that Selena wasn’t centering her daily life around Demi anymore but instead on her career as a blossoming young artist.
IMO Demi was probably disappointed that Selena wasn’t there for her like she used to be. And she resented that. She resented it because they used to be so close and she couldn’t handle the fact that Selena is starting to have life experiences that do not include Demi at all.
No doubt that Demi is acting a bit immature about the whole thing. You can see that in the way she has now embraced Miley as her new best friend (she posted a photo of her and Miley on her twitter page that said “this is what a “real” friendship is like”), and it only speaks volumes about the fact that she has had some difficulty accepting that Selena can actually have a life of her very own.
Despite all that, eventually they will go back together, Demi and Selena. This is only a small issue they have and they will work it out in the end. It’s all part of growing up and such stuff happens.
