4- tweet directly to famous people, if one notices you and answers u will instantly get a lot of followers
5- find an original idea, like this psychologist who offers to explain your dreams via twitter
6- promote ur twitter accounts on forums and blogs
8- promote ur twitter account on facebook
9- engage with every single people u follow: send them @messages, talk to them, try to be interested in what they do and some will follow back
