How to use Wifi for my blackberry apps?
Hi, I am new to blackberry. Today I noticed that at my office I can use wifi connection to use my every blackberry app like official Twitter app from bb, nimbuz, opera 4, Times of India app, and even BB messenger. I was also able to download apps from blackberry app world. I don’t have Blackberry Data plan activated. Yes am damn sure about that. But when I use my home’s wifi, I am not able to browse those applications. At home I can only browse internet with default browser by setting it to hotspot. Nothing else. Why so? Any special configuration required?
Nope..I don’t have data plan.I checked this with service provider also. If I have data plan then it should work at home also. I am using all apps on wifi only at office.
If BBM works you have a data plan.
BBM uses RIM’s servers which can not be accessed using wi-fi.
You obviously don’t have data services available when you are home because again, BBM will not work with wi-fi.
