What else can I do to get more Local Web Business?
I own a Minnesota DJ Company. www.yourminnesotadj.com I am looking for more traffic to my site. So far I use Facebook, linkedIn, Myspace, Twitter X3, 4 blogger blogs, 4 wordpress blogs, social bookmarking, google local, Referring wedding sites, youtube and other video sites, direct mail and craigslist.
Do you think I am out of free media or is there more.
I also do some google adwords, facebook ads and myspace ads.
For DJ services, I’d guess that word of mouth is your most valuable form of advertising. Give your customers business cards and ask them to refer others to you–if they’re happy with your service, they will (I still refer people to a DJ that I’ve known for 10 years, giving him thousands of dollars of business).
You may also want to look at redesigning your website. The pictures that are on there right now are distorted (I looked for several minutes, and I still can’t tell what the picture next to Events is supposed to be). With business websites, in my opinion, simpler is better. Make the information people are likely to look for easy to access, with simple, non-distorted pictures. The bottom section (right under “Contact Us”) is much cleaner and easier to find what your users are going to look for.
The other piece that appears to be missing from your website is a Testimonials section. For a DJ, this is vital. You might also want to have sample playlists from recent events that you’ve played at.
If you have a valuable website, your customers will drive more people to it. For example, you may want to add links to lyrics sites, or list your favorite misheard lyrics. You could also add a blog directly to your site, talking about recent events you’ve played at, interesting stories about how you compose your playlists, the best configuration for sound/lights, etc.
