Why do Facebook™ and Twitter™ groups bring out the very worst in people?
Recent cases include a support page for Raoul Moat, and now we have a bunch of Twitter™ fanatics who seem upset that a man, Paul Chambers, has been prosecuted for making hoax bomb alerts:

Call me crazy, but surely one must expect that if you pen a Twitter™ message that threatens to ‘blow up an airport’, in the current climate of terrorist fear and paranoia, you WILL be investigated and punished. So why do it in the first place? Users on Twitter™ are now doing a Spartacus-type show of support by duplicating Mr. Chambers’ threats over and over.
Is it the anonymity of the internet that makes people behave in this way?

Self Absorbed Dullards – sad, really – somebody should start a Facebark campaign against Facebark campaigns …
PS Isn’t posting a bomb scare on Twatter the same as, 25 years ago, standing in a piss-soaked telephone box shovelling 10p’s in, and giving a fake bomb warning – all the time speaking through an old sock over the speaker to disguise your voice and even pretending to be Gerry Adams cos you’re a little bit pissed?
