Trouble with apps on Blackberry Curve 9300.?
I recently got my Blackberry Curve 9300 up and running and decided to install BB App world.
I didn’t realise at the time but when I installed it, it installed a Facebook, Twitter, Maps, MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk and Blackberry Messenger.
I currently use the Facebook and the BB messenger app and I figure maps my be useful.
I have managed to delete Google talk and MSN Messenger but can’t delete Twitter or Yahoo! Messenger.
I’ve tried the menu > delete route, but there isn’t a delete option for either of these apps. I have also tried the options > Applications > Delete route. But neither of them are on the Third Party or Add-on list. And Google Talk, Yahoo! Messenger and MSN Messenger are in the core list. I have no way of deleting them and I cant find Twitter in these lists. Am I being silly or is there a way to get rid of these useless apps that I did not download??
As, you are fed up with the applications that are going on unnecessarily on your phone so I Suggest to follow this path, you first go to the applications page then just highlight the application you want to delete , after that press the menu key, and select delete after deleting you have to confirm the deletion by removing the battery for a minute or two.
After that it will then ask you to reboot now or later, choose the option but keep in mind that rebooting a BlackBerry can take an OS that you are depending on so if you are deleting more than one application at a time I suggest you to reboot after you had done deleting all at one go.
As, you had writtened that you had gone with the process of going through menu and deleting the application but you are not removing your battery and you are not rebooting so please consider it and keep this in mind and do so.
I’m sure it will work but if it doesn’t then the other option is, you can plug your blackberry into your computer and by using the desktop manager you can do your work as you want to delete two applications, for this all you have to do is plug in your blackberry to your computer, load desktop manager, and click the application loader tab. Once the page loads, simply check all of the applications you want to remove and click next.
Desktop manager will delete the applications from your device, the blackberry will reboot and your work is completed.
