how to use twitter account?

i just made a twitter account a couple of days ago and im not sure how to fully use it. Can someone give me a couple of pointers on how it works. How to make your twitter popular? Also can somebody please inform me on the badges and so on and so forth. Any twitter names so i can follow you? Thanx in Advance

Well twitter is like a what are you doing kind of a site. Follow your friends on twitter and they’ll follow you hopefully. Type something witty and you might get retweeted (someone quoting your tweet). Happened a lot of times, you might get followed.
