Help! I don’t know what’s wrong with my computer!?
Ok here’s the story-
My computer was acting really slow, so when a pop up asked me “Scan for viruses?” I clicked yes. It said there were threats found, and asked me if I wanted to remove them. I clicked yes and it took me to a page that said I had to first purchase some sort of liscense. I clicked out of it, but I guess it had already installed something else, because now everytime i go to facebook, youtube, twitter, etc., it says website is unsafe, continue browsing unprotected? When I click keep browsing, it takes me to a new page and wants me to buy things! So I messed with the security settings, I turned my firewall off, everything. Then I turned it off and and then back on, and all of my icons disapeared as soon as it was finished loading!
Please please if you know what is going on, help me!
You’ve got some malware in there. If you can, download Malwarebytes’ anti-malware. They have a free version. Then scan your computer with it.
If you can’t, use another computer and download Malwarebytes using a USB flash drive ( pendrive), then you can download it to your computer via USB. Note: unplug you internet cable before scanning your computer. Most likely, scan while in Safe Mode.
